Auto-translation
Hi! Auto-translation is an amazing tool, the only issue / feedback I have about it is that we can’t really control it. I mean, it’s enabled by default. We can disable it with the "/module disable" command but if we do, we lose the possibility to get a translation if we react with a flag. Or at least I didn’t find how to keep the reactions with flags and disabling the auto-translation. Ideally both shouldn’t be connected so we can disable one without affecting the other. Another option that other translation bots use, is to add an "auto-translation" role to the people, so only those people can trigger the auto-translation. While it adds an extra layer of filtering, I’d assume that API wise it makes things easier if the bot doesn’t need to check all the messages sent to see if they are in the wanted language. A use case I can think about and that is common in big servers, is if you have channels dedicated to specific languages. Let’s say you have: - general (where everyone speaks in English by default, some people can react with flags to keep up) - spanish - french - german etc We can play with the permissions and remove Lucie from spanish/french/german so there is no auto-translation sent after every single message, but if we do, then the people can’t access anymore the other features like games etc, which would be a pity. This said, I truly like the bot and the possibilities it offers! You did an excellent job!
